Shedarowich captures first win as sprints cars return to Barona Speedway |

BARONA, CA (March 30, 2008) – Piloting the Matt Forstie owned #72 Racing Optics 410 Warbird, 15 year old Mathew Shedarowich took the lead on lap three then used smooth consistent laps to battled ever worsening track conditions and hold off the rest of the field to capture his first Sprint car win in only his 7 start. Rounding out the top five where Randy Waitman (8z),Tom Grunkemeyer (55), Brian Schuler (77s), John Butler(54). The return of sprint cars to Barona Speedway brought a packed house and most stayed in their seats even as a light rain started to fall as the cars where pushed of for the sprint main. All in attendance where treated to a great show and look forward to the next Race June 7th. |
