USAC/CRA SPRINTS RESUME JULY 4 AT PERRIS; |

JUNE 23, 2008 --- The Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks Sky Concert at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway July 4 also showcases the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars on the 1/ 2-mile mile dirt oval. Mike Spencer of Temecula, Calif. is the current series point leader and posted a fourth-place finish in last Saturday night’s 25-lapper. Garrett Hansen of Manhattan Beach, Calif. won Saturday’s Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Car feature in the Roy Miller Freightlines/Sander Engineering Bullet/Mopar. Hansen passed Matt Mitchell on lap eight and led the rest of the way to beat Blake Miller, Tony Jones, Spencer and Danny Sheridan. Hansen ranks fourth in the new series standings behind Miller and Sheridan, ahead of former series leader Cory Kruseman, who did not compete in Saturday’s events.
