August 28, 2006...The “Demon” and the “Kruser” continue their torrid battle for the 2006 USAC/CRA Sprint Car Championship this Saturday at The PAS. Damion Gardner leads Cory Kruseman by only 13 points with 74 available Saturday at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway where they have combined for 26 feature victories in the last three years! The point leaders will need to keep an eye peeled for former USAC/CRA Champion Rip Williams of Yorba Linda, Calif., who notched his 100th career “sanctioned” sprint car feature win Saturday at Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway. “The Ripper” passed Danny Sheridan on lap 15 and led the final 16 laps in his John Jory Corporation/Weld Wheels Stinger/Shaver. Blake Miller posted a great second-place finish, followed by Sheridan, Tony Jones and Matt Mitchell. Sheridan led the first 14 laps. USAC/CRA
