Kirby will give two lucky fans a wild ride in a full-blown race truck when
Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply presents the popular Valvoline USAC/CRA Series
this Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway. Fans 16 years of age and older will be able to purchase tickets for $1.00 each on Saturday. Two names will be drawn and the lucky winners will get a ride from the 1993 CRA Champion in a race truck owned by famous Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealer Bill Bartel. Make no mistake about it, Kirby is not going to give the winners a walk in the park! He is going slam the throttle down and give them a teeth chattering, sideways in the corner ride they will never forget. And, this truck is a fast one! It can get around the famous half-mile clay oval in the 18-second range and was driven to victory in the RWD Extreme Truck and SUV main event at The PAS last Saturday by Bartel. Kirby, of Torrance, California, has established himself as one of the finest non-wing sprint car drivers on the West Coast over the past 15 years. Last season he won six main events in the tough USAC/CRA Series and ended up third in the final point standings. After seven races in 2005, the 40-year old driver is third in the standings with one win (5th Annual Sokola Classic at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Arizona in March). Saturday's action packed program will consist of qualifying, the 3-lap Snap-on Tools trophy dash, four ten lap heats races, a 12-lap B Main and a knock down drag em' out 30-lap A main event. The spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM. Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the freeway close Lake Perris Fairgrounds, home of the Southern California Fair, approximately one hour east of Los Angeles. Take the 215 Freeway, exit at the Ramona Expressway and go east two and a half miles to the fairgrounds.
