Tooth Doc returns to driver seat after long layoff

June 21, 2005 - The last two years Jim Giardino, “the Tooth Doc”, has been supporting the efforts of young David Cardey, runner-up in CRA rookie points last season, and the results have been very satisfying. Cardey is currently 19th in points and coming off two top finishes in the Giardina owned # 59. David will continue to juggle driving the sprint car and a stock car when he has time.

This week his car owner  announced, after an extensive weight loss and exercise regimen, he is ready to return to the driver’s seat in his # 58 car on June 25th. He will be running only at Perris Auto Speedway on selected nights the rest of the year. Jim drove for many years at Ascot Raceway and other tracks before going into semi-retirement. Now he wants to have fun while watching his driver work for his first win.
