As
the 2007 racing season cranks into high gear, the
American Sprint Car Series continues to break new
ground- the ASCS Canyon Region.
The inception of the Arizona-based
ASCS Canyon Region is new territory for the American
Sprint Car Series not only in that it marks the
first Regional series west of the Rocky Mountains,
but it will also be the first Regional series to
feature non-wing Sprint Car racing.
The
inaugural ASCS Canyon Region slate will consist of
approximately 24 events. A majority of events will be at
Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, with other tracks hosting the
series including Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande and
USA Race Park in Tucson. Manzanita is set to host the series
season opener on March 10.
