racing roots going back to 1951 and the Arizona
Jalopy Racing Association, the Arizona Racing Association Sprint Cars featured
the open wheel stars of Arizona. With Manzanita
Speedway as the home track, the ARA had a base for
fans to enjoy "the fastest racing in the
west."
Past Champions include Hank Arnold, Gene
Brown, Buddy Taylor, Billy Shuman, Ron Shuman, Lealand
McSpadden, Larry Clark, Wayne Bennet, Jim Edwards, and Richard Griffin.
